This policy explains how PROGECAD INDIA ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit progecad-india.com or contact us. We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules.
Who we are
PROGECAD INDIA sells and supports progeCAD software in India. For the purposes of data-protection law, we are the data fiduciary for the personal data described here.
Information we collect
We only collect what we need to answer your enquiry and run the website:
- Details you give us: name, email address, phone number, company, city, the product or licence you are interested in, the number of licences and your message, when you submit the contact form, email or call us.
- Technical data: your IP address, browser type, the page you submitted the form from, the website that referred you and campaign (UTM) tags, recorded with your enquiry to prevent spam and understand which pages help visitors.
- Purchase data: billing name, address and GSTIN when you buy a licence, so we can issue a valid tax invoice.
We do not collect payment card details on this website.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, send trial links, quotes and licence keys.
- To send you an automatic confirmation that we received your message.
- To provide installation, training and technical support.
- To issue invoices and meet our tax and accounting obligations.
- To protect the website against spam and misuse.
- With your permission, to tell you about progeCAD updates and offers. You can opt out at any time.
Consent and legal basis
We process your data on the basis of the consent you give when you tick the box on our contact form, and for legitimate uses permitted by law, such as completing a purchase you request or keeping records required for GST. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to us; this will not affect processing that already took place.
Sharing and disclosure
We never sell your personal data. We share it only when necessary:
- With progeSOFT, the software developer, to register and activate your licence.
- With service providers who host this website and deliver our emails, under confidentiality obligations.
- With authorities when required by law, for example tax or court orders.
Cookies
This website uses only essential cookies needed for it to work and to keep forms secure. If we add analytics or advertising cookies in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
How long we keep data
Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a customer. Customer and invoice records are kept for as long as Indian tax law requires, currently at least eight years. You can ask us to delete your enquiry earlier.
Security
Enquiries are stored in a protected database that only authorised team members can access through a password-protected dashboard. The website uses HTTPS encryption. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data and will notify you and the authorities of a breach as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the right to:
- get a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- correct, complete or update inaccurate data;
- have your data erased when it is no longer needed;
- withdraw your consent;
- nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf;
- raise a grievance with us, and then with the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
Our products and this website are meant for professionals and businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
