progeCAD is developed by progeSOFT in Italy, a company that has been building CAD software since 1985. It runs on the IntelliCAD engine (progeSOFT was a founding member of the IntelliCAD Technology Consortium in 1999) and uses Open Design Alliance libraries to read and write DWG, DXF and DGN files reliably.
That foundation is why progeCAD feels instantly familiar to anyone who has used AutoCAD®: the same file format, the same command line, the same way of working. What is different is how you buy it.
